The Americas

The beautiful waters of the Caribbean and Central and South America offer warm climates for diving during all seasons of the year. With the good exchange rate throughout that part of the hemisphere, divers can find great dives and travel packages for low prices.

North America

Although Canada does have a few places to dive, the colder weather is not a good idea for first time divers. The United States has great dive spots in Florida and Hawaii. The Florida Keys are especially popular with their night spots and relaxing views to enjoy between dives. Additionally, Florida is wonderful when the manatees come in during the winter season. Manatees are large, friendly creatures who have won the love and admiration of people around the world. January is generally the best month for diving with manatees. Many people also enjoy visiting Hawaii with its beaches and resort atmosphere; people from all around the world visit Hawaii for vacations, many going expressly to enjoy the great dives.

Caribbean

The Caribbean is one of the premier diving destinations in the world. With the clear waters, warm weather, and low prices, any of the Caribbean islands see hundreds, even thousands, of tourists each year who come expressly to enjoy the warm weather and the exciting diving. The Bahamas and Saint Vincent have some of the most popular dive destinations. Many cruises travel to this area, so you can take a cruise from Florida and spend some of your time on the mainland to head back out to the ocean and dive. Even if you have not completed your certification, you may be able to go on a guided tour with a mainland dive company or with your cruise ship.

Latin America

Latin America extends from Central America to South America, and this region has some of the best diving in the world because of the wonderful climate. Throughout the year, diving feels perfect thanks to the warm water; however, some seasons may not be as good as others because of hurricanes and other dangerous weather in the area.
