Dive Training Schools

Countries around the world have dive training schools on their premier beaches. Going to one of these schools to earn certification can be a vacation in itself. Although at first you will be allowed to do only the most simple dives, you will be working with world class instructors during your stay. Many dive schools work with area hotels to assure great rates for your visit.

Additionally, some dive schools are part of the resort. For example, Sandals, with resorts all around the world, offers dive courses at all of their hotels. Whether you are a new diver or an advanced diver, you can have a great time participating in the dive school certification classes and events.

Getting Certified

Dive training schools can offer you a world-class, world-accepted certification while you are on your vacation. When taking scuba lessons near your home, the environment may be less than exciting; however, if you get your scuba training in the Caribbean or Australia, you will be in some of the best environments for scuba diving in the world. Certified divers can take you on tours of these exotic waters as you learn to dive, and you will enjoy diving more in the ocean than you would in a pool or lake in your hometown.

Guided Tours

Many companies offer guided tours that you can join even if you are not yet certified. With these dives, an experienced diver is with you at all times to be sure that you and the environment are kept safe. Some diving schools and companies require guided tours even for experienced divers. Especially in areas with coral reefs, the country may require that a diver must go with you because coral can die if touched.

For new divers, even those who are certified, a guided tour can be your best bet. Guided tours allow you to test your abilities while knowing that someone is nearby if you find yourself in a bind. Additionally, you will gain immense experience as you watch how experienced divers maneuver the waters and deal with animals and plants underwater.
